No, we do not offer packages, multi-day discounts, or referral bonuses at this time.
Our pricing is structured to reflect the quality, consistency, and individualized care we provide for every visit, whether it's a single drop-in or an extended stay.
The only item we ask clients to provide is access to clean, drinkable water, such as filtered or purified tap water. This is due to the fact that some areas in Colorado have unreliable or unsafe drinking water, and we want to ensure the health and safety of our sitters during extended stays.
Typically, yes. Our sitters may use kitchenware and basic household appliances (e.g., stove, microwave, coffee maker) as needed during their stay. However, we are always respectful and ensure proper, minimal use. If you prefer that we do not use certain items, please let us know during the meet and greet and make a note in your PetPocketbook client profile.
Please note: Refrigerator access is non-negotiable, as we must store perishable food and medication safely during overnight or 24-hour stays.
Yes, we kindly ask that clients prepare a guest bedroom for our sitters.
Our team is respectful of your home and the bedding you provide. Sitters will make every effort to wash and remake the bed before departure. However, if time does not allow (due to overlapping sits or scheduling), they will:
• Wash, dry, and fold the bedding and leave it neatly on the bed
• Or leave the bedding in the dryer, washer without soap, or basket depending on time constraints
If this is a concern, we recommend purchasing a separate set of sheets designated for sitter use to help keep things simple.
Don’t have a guest bed? No problem! Barnhouse Pet Sitting can provide a clean inflatable mattress—just let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
We recommend booking as soon as you know your travel dates, especially for overnight, farm, and 24-hour sits, which fill quickly. Drop-in visits are fairly easy to accommodate. With proper planning, it's ideal to book 2 to 3 months in advance to secure your spot - particularly around holidays, school breaks, and peak vacation seasons.
Cancellation Policy: the 25% reservation deposit is non-refundable if cancellations are made within two weeks or less of the scheduled service.
- If 30 days’ notice is provided, the reservation deposit will be refunded.
- This policy is in place to protect our time and ensure fair scheduling for all clients.
- No additional cancellation fees will be charged beyond the non-refundable deposit unless otherwise specified for specialty or extended bookings.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled service will be billed in full as we won’t be able to fill that spot.
Last-minute bookings and emergencies are accommodated, when possible, but availability is not guaranteed. For same-day or last-minute requests, a $10 fee is added for drop-in visits and a $25 fee is added for overnight care, 24-hour pet sitting, or farm sitting services.
Yes, meet and greets are required before your first pet sit. We do not confirm or schedule any bookings without completing an in-home meet and greet. These visits are essential to:
• Establish trust and comfort between client and sitter
• Allow us to meet your pets in their home environment
• Go over your pet’s care routine and daily needs
• Address any questions or concerns in person
This step ensures a smooth, personalized experience for you and your pets from day one.
"Devan recently watched Molly for us."
"Molly is a 4lb spoiled Yorkie and is very ‘people shy’ so we were a bit concerned how it would go. To make things easier on Molly, Devan came by and met Molly beforehand. We left for our 5 day trip and Devan was amazing with her! She was patient and persistent and by day 3, Molly was her best friend! Not only was Molly happy and well cared for but the house was clean and everything was great! I highly recommend Devan if you need a pet sitter!"

"Devan does an awesome job"
"Devon does an awesome job of taking care of our pets. She is super reliable and always gives me updates on how the dogs and parrots are doing. I would highly recommend her for pet sitting."
- Karen M.
"Devan was amazing!"
"She advertised for house and small animal sitting. I reached out about her possibly farm sitting for us. She came over took a look around and said yes! Devan did such an amazing job communicating with us while we were on vacation. It was such a relief to know that our tribe of animals were being taken care of the way that we would have been taking care of them. Devan took care of two horses, two llamas, a sheep, three dogs, three cats and 50 chickens for reference. She also took care of our trash pick up coordination and when we had a power situation she worked with United Power to make sure things went smoothly. We will be using Devan whenever we go anywhere and will be telling all of our friends to use her as well!! Thank you so much Devan!!"
