A 30 to 60 minute in-home visit to meet you and your pets, go over care details, and ensure everyone is comfortable before service begins.
Pre-Trip Acclimation Visit: Dogs & Cats Only
Our 30-Minute Pre-Acclimation Visit is a structured bonding visit scheduled prior to extended care to help pets build comfort and familiarity with their assigned Barnhouse sitter before their family departs. Not offered for farm or livestock visits.
Bonding Sessions are designed to reduce anxiety, build trust, and create positive associations with the sitter before travel begins.
This visit includes:
$30 per visit
Walk (if applicable)
Playtime or enrichment
Treat-based positive reinforcement
Light brushing or affection (if tolerated)
Calm presence and trust-building
Feeding routines are not completed during acclimation sessions.
Holiday Policy - Pre-Trip Acclimation Visits are not offered during holiday weeks due to high service demand. All bonding visits must be completed prior to the start of any holiday booking period.
Care Orientation Visits
Some households benefit from an additional, hands-on visit after the initial Meet & Greet to ensure routines are followed accurately and safely. Care Orientation Visits are owner-guided sessions where care tasks are completed together in real time, allowing our sitters to confidently and consistently follow your established routines. Care Orientation Visits are recommended when routines are complex, nuanced, or best demonstrated in person; ideally, pet owners provide clear, detailed written instructions, and the need for this visit is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Care Orientations Visits are not scheduled for simple care routines.
General Pet Care Orientation Visit (Dogs, Cats & Household Pets)
This visit includes:
$55 for up to 45 minutes
$20 per additional 30 minutes
A routine walkthrough
Feeding and care protocols
Leash or litter procedures
Medication review
Home access instructions
Behavioral notes
Emergency or veterinary confirmation
This service is ideal for pets with complicated feeding regimens and/or complex medication administration.
Farm & Large-Animal Care Orientation Visit (Highly Recommended)
This visit includes:
$75 for up to 60 minutes
$25 per additional 30 minutes
A hands-on walkthrough of farm routines
Stall or pen care
Gates and fencing
Equipment orientation
Animal handling notes
Emergency procedures
This visit is not required but highly recommended for farm, livestock, or multi-species households, complex or seasonal routines, or properties new to our team.
Care Orientation Visits are separate from the initial meet & greet. Additional time is billed in 30-minute increments. Mileage beyond our service area is billed per policy.
Drop-In Visits
Standard Drop-In scheduling hours: 8:00 AM – 7:59 PM
Requests outside of these hours are considered Premium Visits and limited based on availability.
30 Min Drop-In
$30 per visit
Includes care for up to 4 animals for 30 minutes.
Additional $5 per cat and $10 per dog, over 4 animals.
Holiday Rate: Additional $10 per visit.
1 Hour Drop-In
$55 per visit
Includes care for up to 4 animals for 1 hour.
Additional $5 per cat and $10 per dog, over 4 animals.
Holiday Rate: Additional $10 per visit.
Small Animal Drop-In Visits
$30 per visit
30 minute visits for guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, bunnies, reptiles, birds, fish, etc.

Requests outside of these hours are considered Premium Visits and limited based on availability.
Additional $5 per pet for 5 or more animals.
Holiday Rate: Additional $10 per visit.
Premium Visits
Early Morning Premium
+ $20 per visit
Arrival window: 6:30 AM – 7:59 AM
Applies to both 30-minute and 60-minute visits.
Late Evening Premium
+ $20 per visit
Arrival window: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Applies to both 30-minute and 60-minute visits.
Visits After 10:00 PM
Drop-in visits are not offered after 10:00 PM.
Requests requiring care beyond 10:00 PM will be billed as an Overnight Stay.
Farm Drop-In Visits
$55+ per visit
Ideal for llamas, goats, alpacas, horses, and more. Base rate covers up to 4 medium to large farm animals.
Additional $15 to $25 per animal depending on care needs and chores.
Holiday Rate: Additional $15 per visit.
Large Herds (10+ animals) - Contact us for your custom quote or flat “herd rate”. Includes feeding, light mucking, fresh water, and wellness checks.
Overnight Pet Sitting (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)
Night time & morning care only. Up to 4 pets.

24 Hour Pet Sitting
One 4 to 6 hour sitter break. Up to 4 pets.

Unclean, oversized or heavy cages will NOT be accepted.

A 60-minute walk outside of your neighborhood for new sights and smells. Adventure walks can be hikes, walks around your local lake, and more! Includes drive time to and from the adventure.

$10 per session
Gentle brushing session with extra one-on-one affection time. Great for relaxation and coat health. Includes clean-up.
Handmade Chunky Knit Blanket
Starting at $125
A cozy, one-of-a-kind blanket made just for your pet! Perfect for snuggling at home or during sits. Custom orders available.
Homemade Barnhouse Dog Treats
Baked with love using just wholesome, pet-safe ingredients. A tasty surprise during their stay!
Frozen Treats – $12.99 per 20 oz

House Sitting (no animals)
$25 per visit
Indoor & outdoor plant watering.
